We have something new and exciting on the way, but first, we need to make space! Our StarMark island display, measuring 111 inches long by 39 inches wide, is available for just $6,500 (excluding the dishwasher and faucet). However, I know JC is always open to considering a good trade or offer. If you're interested, please contact the showroom for more details: 207.843.9955

✨Meet the team Monday! ✨
JC Cousins | Designer/Owner
John “JC” Cousins IV got his nickname while working alongside his father, John Cousins III, during their 19-year career designing kitchens and fabricating granite countertops together. Clients calling the showroom didn’t want to sort through “the young one” and “the old one,” so simply calling him “JC” stuck — and it’s been that way ever since.
JC was quite literally born into the business. In 1975, his father opened a kitchen design showroom in Presque Isle, while his grandparents owned one of the first kitchen cabinet showrooms in Eastern Maine, Consolidated Supply, located where the Bangor Waterfront Concerts are now held.
His appreciation for creativity stems from his artistic background, and one day he hopes to carve out a dedicated painting and drawing studio of his own. From his early days delivering and installing cabinetry to starting and running a successful granite countertop shop, JC has worked in every facet of kitchen design and remodeling.
Today, he is known for helping clients solve functional issues in their homes and for creating spaces that feel both beautiful and practical. He says the best part of the process is that “Ah-ha” moment when a homeowner lights up at a new possibility they hadn’t considered.
JC is a U.S. military veteran and brings the same commitment and discipline he learned in service into his design work. He lives in Holden, Maine, where he enjoys time with his children and grandchildren. When he’s not designing kitchens, you can often find him out on the lake with his party boat or riding through the Maine woods in his side-by-side.
